Choose the finish that suits where your metal sign will be displayed. All signs are cut from mild steel; the right finish depends on whether you want a natural appearance, an indoor decorative finish, or extra protection outdoors.
Bare Steel
Included in the sign price
Uncoated mild steel, supplied ready for you to finish yourself or allow to develop a natural rusty appearance. Bare steel will rust when exposed to moisture and can stain nearby walls or paving. It is not protected against corrosion.
Spray Painted Black
+£9.95 · Indoor use only
A prepared, primed and spray-painted decorative black finish. A cost-effective choice for indoor wall signs. Not recommended for outdoor exposure, damp locations or prolonged contact with moisture.
Powder Coated Black
+£17.70 · Suitable for outdoor display
Professionally shot blasted, treated with a zinc-rich primer and finished with a black powder-coated topcoat. This is our more protective finish for signs displayed outdoors. It is not guaranteed rustproof: scratches, damaged coating and exposed mounting points should be cared for promptly.
Powder-coated signs are finished in batches, so dispatch may take longer than bare steel or indoor spray-painted orders. Please contact us if you need a sign by a particular date.
